The Turks may accomplish what neither party in the U.S. "democracy" could.

If it happened 95 years ago what politician in their right mind would push this forward now, with troops in harms way. Imbeciles all!

Turkey's evolution this century toward an Islamist government is precisely what this war is all about: The rise of radical Islam as the ideology now threatening the Judeo-Christian West.

This what the Democrat leaderhip, including Pelosi, had in mind all along. If the Turks deny us the airfield at Incirlik, then our troops will be faced with severe shortages.

It's one way for Congress to stop a war they don't like.

The fact that the government sees this as a threat to vital supply lines shows how little Turkey feels threatened by our enemies in Iraq. As a matter of fact, Turkey is having to act against the terrorists in the North of that country because the US won't.

Congress: "Check"
Next Move: Bush Administration

This is a HOR resolution intended to end the war by cutting off our troops supply lines. If this is not out right treason and subversion nothing is.

Spot on. This was the intended outcome, undermining our military in Iraq. Now the question is, would this be considered treason, or simple sabotage?

sigh... why am I paying my congressman to debate pointless resolutions which have no bearing on anything current. The Turks and Armenians(et.al.) were killing each other on site at that point in history, plenty of innocent men/women and children perished on both sides, sadly. More importantly,TODAY, Turkey is the most westernized nation and our #1 ally in the region (have been for a LONG time). They are NOT headed down the radical Islam path as stated in the prior comment. I can say that with the authority of having friends living there. I have in the past, been such a political junkie, but am now so jaded and sick of our crooked politicians (BOTH SIDES) that I am ready to drop out.

Well, the whole point in the House passing this resolution right now was for the purpose of provoking this reaction from the Turks.

Just more of the way Speaker Pelosi and her cronies in the House "support the troops." There's no need for such a congressional resolution. Reagan already called the genocide of the Armenians "genocide" in a speech he made while President. Votes have been taken before Congress in the past on this issue and have failed.

So, Nancy, WHY NOW? Couldn't be to provoke the Turks into cutting off our lines of communication and attacking the Kurds while they're at it, could it?

I mean, she already went to Syria and kissed Bashir Assad's rear end. You remember the Syrians, the ones whose nuclear reactor that they didn't have got blown up last month.

Great plan, Speaker Pelosi. The Surge is working -- so let's kill it.
